Relying on the Team in Project Schedule

💥 ⏰ In predictive projects far from agile approaches, one of the biggest expectation of the management is the timely completion of the project. For example, making a timetable for a product that you deliver in 30 months is similar to predicting the weather 30 months ahead. 😎

🟢 The method you are expected to follow to create the schedule is as follows:

✅ To create the work diffraction structure,

✅ To determine their activities and addictions,

✅ To determine your resource requirements, activity times, critical path,

✅ Creating the project schedule.

🧠 So, what happens in organizations with a high level of maturity where project teams are trusted? 🤔 Management does not accuse the project team of creating an exaggerated calendar, and no one tries to impose the calendar they imagined on the project team in line with political and personal interests. The team focuses on implementing their own plan. While maintaining the quality of the deliveries, the real winner in a project owned by the team is the customer.

💥 The critical point is the fine balance between gaining a few months for political benefits or looking after customer interests in a product that you will put on the market for years to come.
